We recently took our RV to Ridgway State Park and had a great time. The campground is clean with beautiful views. They have a swim beach, lots of hiking trails, opportunities for fishing, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding and more. The bathrooms were clean and there were several sprinkled throughout the campground area. We arrived the day we wanted to camp so we were able to drive around and pick any open spot that we wanted. It was perfect! We highly recommend this site for RV camping!

We are pretty new to RV travel. We just bought an RV this summer and so far we've only taken it it on one short trip. We enjoyed it but we've been stuck on where to go and how to make it worth it to take the RV as opposed to staying in a hotel. Next month we have a trip planned where we needed to stay 5 nights and we determined that the extra gas needed to drive the RV was worth the trade off of saving money on hotels for that long. We also needed to stay in a certain location and hotels in that area were scarce but campgrounds were plentiful. We can't wait to do the 5 night trip and learn more about RV travel and camping. I'm curious on what the experts did to get started RVing? Where did you go and for how long? What tips to you have for a family that is new to RV travel?
